Position to be filled: Chief Financial Strategy and Administrative Officer CFSAO)
Chief Financial Strategy and Administrative Officer (CFSAO)
– Part-time with Possibility of Full-time in Future
The YWCA White Plains & Central Westchester seeks a CFSAO to be responsible for all financial activities for the YWCA and affiliate corporations, including revenue maximization, financial and operations management, financial planning and reporting, and accounts payable and payroll. The CFSAO will play a critical role in achieving the YWCA’s goals by informing strategic revenue generation and ensuring cost controls and in strengthening and overseeing fiscal and operation management systems. Direct report: Chief Executive Officer
The CFSAO is an important part of the executive team. S/he must have the trust and confidence of the CEO and the Board of Directors, including the Finance Committee, as well as the senior staff and serve as their partner in all aspects of the organization’s operations. S/he will supervise the Fiscal Staff, the IT Director, the Facilities Director, and the membership operations. S/he will have strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, a hands-on management style and the ability to address and solve problems or issues as they arise. Qualifications:
Commitment to the mission of the YWCA.
Minimum of a BA or BS; a CPA or MBA or related field preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of executive level management experience in a multi-faceted financial operation with significant budgeting and accounting responsibility, ideally with experience in nonprofit management.
Knowledge of internal control systems used for general accounting principles and specialized nonprofit industry accounting practices and procedures.
Ability to read, analyze, interpret and explain complex financial data.
Experience working with information technology staff and/or proficiency working with finance, accounting and membership software and Microsoft Office Suite required
Knowledge of low-income tax credits (LITC) and bond financing a plus
Experience with financial management of government contracts a plus.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Must be personable, diplomatic, and analytical, of the highest integrity and possess sound judgment. Must be comfortable with rapid pace of change.

Position to be filled: Middies Head Swim Coach
The White Plains YWCA Middies Swim Club, a twenty year + USA Swimming team sponsored by the YWCA, seeks a Head Coach.   The candidate must be self starter and strong communicator. S/he will motivate young people ensuring a positive experience in swimming. S/he will be the center point between the YWCA, parents and swim organizations. 
Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily swim team operations
  • Supervise practice, develop teamwork and sportsmanship
  • Supervise and develop assistant coaches
  • Develop short term and long term goals for the team, coaches and facilities.
  • Communicate with parents regularly
  • Develop the structure to ensure successful meets following all applicable rules
  • Responsible for developing the structure & ensuring home meets are successful, following all applicable rules.
  • Responsible for recruiting new swimmers

Requirements:
*5 plus years experience as a head coach or assistant coach
*Must be a registered USA Swimming Coach
*Strong communication and organizational skills
*Ability to demonstrate personal characteristics that exemplify the YWCA
*Familiar with Meet Manger Program and Colorado timing system
